What you’ll get

2 Hour sessions
You will have a two-hour, in-person sessions where you’ll have the opportunity to learn the essential fundamentals of Photography. Currently, the courses are scheduled to run from 6 PM to 8 PM on a Wednesday evening in the town of Inverurie.

4 weeks
The course will run across a total of 4 weeks in person, providing participants with a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience.

A Workbook
You’ll receive a beautifully printed workbook that contains all the essential information from each week of our program. This resource is designed for you to take along with you while you’re out and about capturing moments with your camera. Each week, there is a specific task assigned to encourage and inspire the use of your camera, helping you to develop your skills effectively.

Private Group Facebook page
There will be a private Facebook page specifically created for you to ask questions and comfortably share your photos that showcase your work from each week’s task.

Presentations
You’ll receive a detailed copy of the presentations from each week on the Facebook group, giving you the opportunity to easily refer back to them whenever you need to for your convenience and better understanding.

1:1 Support
Throughout the session, you will receive personalised 1:1 support and guidance from Caitlin, ensuring that all your questions are addressed and that you feel confident in your progress.
What to expect during the sessions?
Week 1
The first week delves into the fundamental basics of your camera and lens, while also providing an opportunity to get to know your camera in a personalized 1:1 session. This week focuses on understanding essential settings, functions, and features that will help you make the most of your photography experience.
Week 2
The second week begins with an engaging focus on learning about crucial photography concepts such as shutter speed, ISO, and aperture. During this week, Caitlin will encourage you to transition your camera settings on to Manual mode, allowing you to gain greater creative control and enhance your skills as a photographer.
Week 3
Week 3 begins to delve into the essential topic of composition, while Caitlin demonstrates various techniques to help you create some truly stunning and captivating photos. Additionally, we will take some time to recap and reinforce our understanding of the Manual settings, ensuring that you feel confident in your photographic skills.
Week 4
Week 4 begins to explore the fascinating topic of natural lighting, as Caitlin takes you outside to practice and apply your newly acquired skills in a real-world environment. This hands-on experience allows you to enhance your understanding of how lighting impacts your photography.
